The Artist In Me

I am inspired to revive an idea I  put on the back burner a few months ago.  This morning I was inspired after having visited the blog, Northern Reflections I have been  wanting to learn to sketch and water-color but as of yet have not put out any effort. Inspiration is so amazing. Margaret is an artist and her paintings and what she writes reflect the beauty of her heart.  The ability to create is not for just a select few. I have been inspired by each of the blogger’s~writer’s~photographer’s~artist’s~ that I follow. Thank you for contributing to my world the way you do! So, until I learn how to draw or paint (I can dream) I will share some of my wild artwork using photo editing/processing.

  1. Hil, Roberta! You can do it! I longed to paint all my life, and finally at age 72 I began. It is such a wonderful life.

If you have the desire, you can learn and have undescribable enjoyment! God’s gifts are free — although the art supplies cost a bit! (There are good online sources for supplies–including CHEAP JOE’S and DANIEL SMITH.)

Collaging is a joy as well! I love to rummage for scraps of lace, vintage postcards, ribbons, etc. There are no boundaries to this creative world! :)

    • Thank you Margaret for the kind words of encouragement. I lacked that so much in life until I began to see who I am in Him..So many opportunities these days with all of the resources we have. I eagerly look forward to see your work..

  2. Roberta, your dream just came true. You don’t need to “learn” how to draw, you just have to draw. I think people need to carve out time to tap into their creativity. I’ve put together a series of workshops to illustrate this concept that creativity can’t be taught. Go for it.

  3. You are amazing and incredible – incredibly amazing!!! I have so much catching up to do on your wonderful pictures and writings. Really, really great. I am SO proud of you, You can do anything you set your mind to do. I know it. You glow unbelievably so. Look how far you have come. How proud, really really proud of you and your creativity. Sorry I have been out of the loop. What a refreshing, honest and beautiful blog. Oh – a reflection of YOU!!
    My friend, my sunshine friend..

  4. It looks like you are already an artist. You create beautifully which is one reason why I like to visit. I haven’t painted in awhile which is why I have an art page to push myself back to create. I would love to see you do what you wanted with art. How exciting, and you just can’t get it wrong. Each art style its own fingerprint. Got yo go now!.Art is for everyone. You already have beautiful sensibilities as shown in the pics you have shared. :)

  5. Knowing Margaret for 20 + years… it’s been amazing to see her grow in creative ways which were just waiting to emerge… she also writes poetry, plays music, spin’s & knits, makes soap… well, the list goes on

  6. I just want to tell you that I’m beginner to blogging and really liked your page. More than likely I’m likely to bookmark your website . You actually have impressive well written articles. Cheers for revealing your webpage.
