Elk Near the Klamath River

September 17, 2011

We were needing to stretch our legs so we got off the 101 and decided to join several other people that were viewing Elk. We were very close to Klamath , California and it was a  beautiful  morning.

While there we met Lindsey and Lester. A young and carefree looking couple that were hoping to catch a wave somewhere along the coast. They decided the best way to see the Elk was to hop on their car.

This is what we were all straining to see… I got one more shot of Lindsey before we departed.

At another destination in Oregon I got a better  closer  shot of an Elk..He was laying low and somewhat camouflaged.

And at this location it was good to see that these majestic animals are protected.

Are there any Bison’s among the herd? The first and the last pictures are very beautiful. May be some of the trees in the first picture would be hundred years old.

this theme is good, just the font color of dark grey not so contrast with the background color and make reading a little bit inconvenient.
