Mosaic Monday

October 17, 2011

I will never tire of taking photos of old buildings. We stopped to have breakfast at the Golden Harvest Cafe that morning and we were not disappointed. It was not fancy but filling and good. We had driven through what appeared to be an older section of downtown Eureka and I knew we had to check it out before we continued north. I did talk to the gentleman in the photo and at the time he did tell me his horses name. I really appreciated the caring manner in which he brushed his horse as he prepared for their day. There are horses that are being abused and it saddens me to hear about it.  I hope you  enjoy my photos of Old Town Eureka. I am linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

I like the processing you used for these photos. Great capture of the old architectures. I drove through Eureka many years ago late at night so I didn’t see the town. Your pictures showed me what I’ve missed. Now, I know I have to go back for a visit. 🙂

Thank you..Emily! I like to visit libraries and made a point to locate it although it wasn’t open. Next time..We noticed a lot of homelessness in that community.. ):

Those are great pictures. I love the combination of the architecture, bricked sidewalks and horsedrawn carriage.
