Drive By’s

November 3, 2011

I am usually in the passenger’s seat. My husband, the pilot likes to be in control. He has far more experience than I do when it comes to the in and outs of traffic. Sometimes I clench my fists and say nothing lol! Or immediately pray.. I prefer wide open spaces such as driving from southern California to southern Utah. It was often just you and the truckers. Las Vegas was a challenge depending on what time of day it was. So, my point today is that I like to take photos while driving. Many of them are worthless but once and a while there might be a decent one. I might have to do a little photo editing.. I like going back and really looking at a photo..In the first one I hadn’t noticed the bicycle and do you see the dent in the back of the vehicle? I wonder what kind of day you may be encountering.. Yesterday it was a beautiful day! Have a great one..

I’m afraid besides clenching I do speak a little too much when in the passenger seat LOL!
You are right many “traveling” photos aren’t worthy…you got some good ones.

Wide open spaces ๐Ÿ™‚ !!!!! It is interesting to see what photos turn out from riding along. I find it hard to sleep on trips because I feel that I might miss something. There is so much to capture whether one has a camera or not.

I had to study that first photo for a long time, mesmerized by those escape ladders/stairs. that was really some building in its time!

These are amazing photos… could be story starters. They are rich in detail and intrigue…
And I agree with you about the open road!

Like these compositions very much. They remind me of shots from silent films because of the type/age of the buildings combined your position in the vehicle (camera angle &distance). It would be interesting to see them in B&W. ๐Ÿ™‚
