Mosaic Monday

November 21, 2011

I tend to get a late start for posting Mosaic Monday. Maybe someday when I am a woman of leisure I will be prompt. Until then I squeeze it in before I go to work.  I am posting photo’s from February . I believe I shared them at another blog I had at the time. I had not been to this Mission since I was a child. I am linking with Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. There are 21 Missions in California I have been to only about four of them. I love the rustic character of them. The adobe, the red tile, the wood and the brass hardware. I hope you enjoy my mosaic tour of  San Gabriel Mission. This link will offer some information about the Missions and also a photo gallery of some of them. California Missions

Very nice mosaic, Roberta. I grew up in Montebello so the San Gabriel mission was one of our field trips. Have a great week. If I don’t get back here before Thanksgiving I’d like to wish you and yours a very Happy, thankful day!

That’s a very nice mosaic! Missions are so interesting, so much of our history. I’ve visited the one in San Diego and several in Arizona. We even have one near here, the St Ignatius Mission that’s really nice.

Roberta is very good to estimate your beautiful photographies. Here in the south in Argentina and Brazil also the history of the Friars Jesuits I make the stamp of the faith marked with many very important missions.
    Thank you for sharing ¡

The light on the fountain is gorgeous, Roberta. And I love the Mission shot. Just something romantic about that type of architecture. 🙂
