Cool As a Cucumber

December 15, 2011

A winter scene  has a calming effect on me..But then I don’t have to live with it, shovel it or wait for a snowplow to come along to be able to drive. It takes me away to a place of solitude where my  thoughts do the talking.. I took this photo last year and the poem was written at that time as well..

Splendid beauty~All around~ Winter is speaking~Don’t make a sound~

Listen expecting~ And you will hear~ Nature calling~Loud and Clear~

Take a breath~Let concerns go~Peace so gentle~Will touch your soul~ r gould

I love snow and the peace that comes with it like when it is calm and cloudy like a snow blanket. Beautiful!

Lovely capture, Roberta. There is something so tranquil about seeing snow covered trees. I can feel the calm and quietness of the forest. Like you, I enjoy snow the most when I don’t have to live in it.

It’s a beautiful winter landscape. What I really like about the picture is how well you brought out the colours of the green conifers and the lovely warm tone in their trunks. Wonderfully process. And then the lovely, little poem. Great.
