What Moves Me

As the end of this year is winding down I have been looking through my photos and thought that if I had to choose my top ten images, what would they be? A good question for myself. I have so many that should be deleted as they are just taking up space. I think a lot about people. I consider myself very observant. If you study this photo, you will see what moves me, my heart. There are many people that need the aid of a cane, a walker or wheelchair. When I think about my ability to move, walk and hike it makes me very thankful. So as this year comes to a halt..soon, I think of those that don’t have it that easy. I actually had an opportunity to talk to one of these gentlemen. He shared a little about his concerns. Most of my photos are not of  a professional status. Just things that interest me..just what moves my heart..

    1. Thank you..Ellen! It has taken me years to realize that we all have a voice and something to say. (to contribute) It has been a mixture of discovery, excitement and sometimes discouragement..but a part of the journey..

  3. Very elegant. The cane photo in the center speaks to me because I often wonder what people see when they see me. If I remember correctly, he was the one who was worried about his wife… I think what really matters is all about the heart, so you are right on target. Great thoughts as we prepare to crossover into 2012.

  4. Love seeing your heart here, Roberta. My mother is losing more and more of her mobility and my father is losing his eyesight…
It’s a hard road to walk especially if you have to walk it alone…

  5. The picture was an inspiration. I love looking back through old photos and just pictures in general. You can learn and understand a lot through a photo and you have shown just that with this blog post. Wonderful!

  7. What a poignant photo, and beautiful thoughts! My husband and I occasionally use a walker for hiking now, and Joe needs a cane a lot. It’s amazing how we happily incorporate the props.

That’s a great idea, to select one’s top photos of a year. Some really grab me, and others simply fill up my camera chip—but I tend to save them all.

I also love funny photos. Our family members like to make goofy faces and act silly when the paparazzi are around. 🙂
