Wednesday Wildflowers

These wildflowers are within a radius of ten miles. I finally broke down and bought a small paperback book on wildflowers so one of these days I will be able to attach names to them. It’s wonderful to observe natures  bouquet’s.

    Beautiful flowers, and a pleasure to gaze at them. When I was a young father, I used to take trips with my children, out in nature… book in hand, a guide to identify flowers… and we would try to identify all the flowers we would see. It was a lot of fun.

    Those are beautiful! I recognize only the paints, and that’s a very healthy looking stand of them! I think my favorite here is the last ones. How beautiful they are!

      Fun to discover what grows in our area.. I do think Montana has some pretty amazing wildflowers!

    The first wildflower appears to be a close relative of the white prickly poppy, Argemone albiflora, that I coincidentally featured today at
