Contemplating

August 6, 2012

I am quiet today and have been basking in the  beauty

of this bouquet of Lilies that a

neighbor gave  us..

Casa Blanca Lily

Our neighbor’s thoughtfulness was a pleasant surprise. The scent of the Lilies is strong and permeates the room. Thunder makes up for my quietness as I think about the countdown to my last days of work. And now I smell rain…Oh…how wonderful!

How long ago did you retire? My husband and I are looking forward to retiring in about 18 months. We are already planning the days after that! What have you found to “fill your time….?” Gail at Making Life An Art

It will be three years in August. We moved from Southern California to Oregon almost three months ago. I have been a CA. girl/woman most of my life, except for almost four years in Southern Utah. We have purchased a home and are settling in quite nicely with our four cats. I do a lot of photography, and having a great time with processing. We are avid gardeners and are having fun checking out nurseries. It seems that I have tapped into my right brain and want to experience sewing, drawing and painting. Might as well live it up. We need to get on our bikes more often and get active and we do enjoy short hikes. We are not far from the coast or mountains, so there is much to see and do. I hope to read a few books. I actually see ourselves getting perhaps a small trailer one of these days. Never a dull moment and mulling over in my mind what kind of volunteer work I might want to do.. You have much to look forward too..
