Coffee or Tea

I made cinnamon rolls sometime before Christmas. They turned out good for someone who doesn’t usually attempt them. Yesterday, I decided to try a different recipe and I believe these are better than the last batch. Working with flour and yeast is fun, but I have noticed that my stomach does not do well with flour these days.  I will soon be banning this type of ooey gooey high carb treat from my menu, but for today I think coffee sounds good…

      1. Before the holidays I did good. During the holidays…not so much. I’ve got to get back to my restraint frame of mind…

  1. Are you going the way of gluten free? Or just cutting back on carbs? I find it nearly impossible. I am a bread, pasta, CARB freak! Good luck with getting rid of the flour. You are my hero! 😉

    1. Hi, from past experience…a long time ago..I did better with low carb and more protein. I get some serious heart-burn from either flour or fat..oils or something. Just trying to figure it out. I am thinking weight watcher but I really know what to do and have to get out and walk..We have great trails here. I ordered trekking poles today and they say they are helpful for trail hiking and will work in the snow too… I will actually be glad once the potluck is over with so I can get going.. (:

    2. A scale can be one’s worst enemy at times. It’s hard for me to not let it get me down, but then I end up avoiding and that’s not good either, Maybe just once a week on the same day..What do you think?

  2. It’s amazing when you’re hungry how many blog posts contain photos & stories of decadent yummy pastries! Cinnamon rolls are only a fond memory for a diabetic like me. THat doesn’t mean one sight of them doesn’t make me HUNGRY! Thanks for posting. I’ve got to run now & make something to eat before I DIE! LOL – Bob
