Photo Art Friday

Collage was the prompt for the week at Pixel Dust Photo Art. My ideas did not kick into gear for several days. I had to think of what I had in my files that would work. Besides old brick buildings, vintage items, people and flowers, doors, are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. This is not the first time I have posted pics of them but the one with the quote is what I worked on yesterday. Doors represent new beginnings or closure. We go through many in life and we never know what we will find on the other side and sometimes we need to hightail it out of there for the benefit of our safety…

    1. Hi! Thank you for your comment! I forgot about windows too..I like them as well. I am wanting to sell prints and working on postcards..I am trying to figure it all out. I’ll experiment with these images… (:

  1. This is wonderful, beautiful colours. I also have doors and windows in my library I love the colours and shapes and wonder how can there be so many beautiful and different doors? they are just doors… I am also looking into making postcards to sell, Have you looked at Moo.com? you can send for a sample pack, the quality is lovely.

  2. I adore what you have accomplished here with this collage! As someone else said – this must be printed and displayed somehow!

  3. Like everyone else, I’m a great fan of both windows and doors. I especially like your first, with the quotation from Disney superimposed. And I couldn’t help thinking – wouldn’t it be funny to tuck a reference to Jim Morrison, front man for The Doors, into one of these? A visual joke, as it were. 😉

  4. love Love LOVE these!! I am a door and window fan, too, and I have used them both separately and together in some of my collages made of paper on wood. after learning about scanning my art and digital fiddling with the scans, I admit I have gone a little [even a LOT] overboard on them. and then, along comes this theme for PAF and your 2 works, and suddenly I am inspired to have a little time to play with those files anew!!

I hope that people take the time to click on and enlarge your collages as they are splendid in their details. so wonderful!! BRAVA!!!
    xoxo
