Letting Go

Today we let go…little by little. As I take a look at the stuff, it can almost be overwhelming. Downsizing is a lot of work but will be so freeing.

In character, in manner,in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.

Memorial Day Duo2To find the air and the water exhilarating…to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring-these are some of the rewards of the simple life.

  1. I’ve stood in front of my stuff wondering where to start and let go. It is a daunting task sometimes. With our floor projects and having to move everything in the house it is making me rethink a lot of stuff…

  2. I just left a very honest comment on an absolutely lovely blog, written by a woman I dearly love. You can read the blog entry here. It’s about her visit to Paris – maybe last year – and the kindness of a friend who lent them his apartment.

I just couldn’t get over it – it’s beautiful, yes. But – well, you can see my comment, the second one. I’m coming more and more (and more quickly than I ever could have imagined) to the point of view you offer here. Simplicity of surroundings aids a simplicity of spirit – I truly believe that.

    1. Linda, we are now having to pick up and put away what we didn’t sell. Some of it is going to goodwill.. Our plan is to sell our home and hit the road(purchase an rv) and head north, camp along the Oregon and Wa coast and visit my son and granddaughters. It’s amazing how much we can acquire. It just happens that I have started another blog at blogger. It is still under construction. I did enjoy the post and I will follow it. Thank you for letting me know..

  3. Oh, how did I miss this second blog? I’ve subscribed now. Are you going to maintain this one, too? Two blogs doesn’t sound at all simple to me! In fact, I had one on weather underground that I finally closed. There was no way to keep up with two – unless I gave up everything resembling real life!

    1. I agree and will most likely have to choose. Although I have only a few that read Ramble Ann, I like the simplicity of it and there are some very cool down to earth people that have visited and it will be so fitting for our future adventures..So.. When you write you have much to say, beautifully and pour your heart into it and I am still on the learning curve..I put up a few pics and a few words…LOL! Not too hard… ps we tidied up and what a chore.. I still have to get under the house and sort…ugh! Thank you for going to ramble ann.. (:
