gratitude week

gratitude week: day seven

DSCN0247-007on this day of rest

i am grateful

for introspection

a time to look

within

and search

for what may be amiss

as i reflect on

experiences

in life

recent and past

thankful for all

even the hard lessons

not so easy

but have helped to form

who i am..

memories of a baby boy

born to me this day

thank you young man..

for the privilege

of being your mother

for family and friends

reminders of growth

for the sweet transparent

and grateful

hearts

that shared this week

thank you..

to all that read and follow

thank you!

for life that pleases

but always enough unease

to  keep me looking

up

lifting  praise

and thanksgiving

from my quiet corner of the world..

  1. Beautiful words, Roberta… very helpful for me. Thank you. It has been a challenge to be grateful when I’m stuck on the couch with a broken leg and no job… but your inspiring words help me see the positive side. 🙂

    1. Hi Emily, oh my goodness..I wonder how did you get yourself on the couch? Thank you for your kind words yesterday. I have been in a bit of a fog for the past days with headache, but am making a comeback. Look on the bright side..two legs, two arms and hands that can hold a camera. I do hope you have some assistance. Let the simplicity of your life speak to you..the birds that sing, sunshine to warm your back, or warm scarf to wrap around you..little comforts of life. ox

  2. Dear Mother Hen….So glad you left your quiet little corner of the world for a moment to visit my blog and comment. That was delightful. Please come back any time. Your posts are very soothing. Susan

  3. Hi Elizabeth, a friend of mine since junior high gave it to me a few months ago. I really like it too. Simple and pretty.. I will have to send the link to Todd. Good suggestion! Thank you!
