My age tells me that I am in my golden years. My heart tells me that I am still young and that I have much to contribute to this beautiful and complex world. My faith in God sustains me each step of my journey here on earth, as I continue to explore the world through the lens of my camera.

I grew up only thirty miles from an Iowa town named Pella — it’s a Dutch town, and they have an annual tulip festival. Their fields aren’t this large, I don’t think, but there’s nothing more beautiful than a tulip, whether in a garden or a field.
I can’t imagine so many tulips in one place. I like the colors all mixed together. And I LOVE that header photo. Please disregard if I’ve told you that every time I visit. It really appeals to me.
Hi Patti! It was pretty outstanding, but I think that visit will last me a while. We were among many many people. I had created the header a few years ago. For some reason as I scrolled through some of my older photos it popped out at me. The bike had been in one of our former neighbors back yard with the ivy growing all around it. It made for a photo shoot and this is what I came up with. Thanks so much and I hope spring has sprung in your part of the world…
Those tulips! Gorgeous!
You’ve just reminded me – it’s time to plant my bulbs 🙂 (not tulip bulbs but I think I will buy some next time I visit ‘civilization’ – who knows, they might grow well here)
My, do I ever love that first photo!

I will have to look Pella up.. Tulips are pretty special. I don’t recall when I first saw my first tulip.. Maybe it was on tv…

Im gessing on a week day there would be less guests so you’d have the place to yourselves? That would be a special treat.
