Summertime

July 1, 2015

He fills His hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark..

God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways,

He does great things beyond our understanding.

                                                                                  Job 36:32, 37:5

His ways are not our ways. As I observe my little sphere of the world I am in awe of the beauty in our little back yard. I hope I don’t tire you out from my backyard tales. But each day I am eager to see what’s new, what flower has bloomed, what vegetable has taken off. I am thankful for these simple adventures in gardening.

Your lovely photos of flowers, honey jar, cat on an ironing board and words made me feel richly rewarded by stopping by. You are a blessing.

Those hollyhocks are just beyond words. They’re so gorgeous. But I must say — that cat of yours looks just like my Dixie Rose — close enough to draw a comparison, anyhow!

I am glad to hear that you like them as much as I do. The rich color of the latest ones are pretty special. Lizzy Lou was hot and still is. We have a heat wave and I wish it would wave to us and go bye-bye.. We are cook’n here…

Your hollyhocks are so pretty. That kitty is adorable. We are in the “heat-wave” too and it’s not fun.

Pops of pretty color in your garden. I think the cat has the right idea–I’m using my ironing board all wrong!

If they had their way, it would be up all of the time. Two of our cats like to prop themselves on it…
