simple pleasures
that so easily come
digging in the earth
the feeling of dirt
on my hands…
I do not take it lightly
what my body can do
for with aging, my bones
feel not, exactly new…
but as long as I see beauty
in the simplicity of my day
it will keep my outlook healthy
to handle what comes my way..

My age tells me that I am in my golden years. My heart tells me that I am still young and that I have much to contribute to this beautiful and complex world. My faith in God sustains me each step of my journey here on earth, as I continue to explore the world through the lens of my camera.

Just lovely. And of course, even as age slows us down a bit, the blessing in that is — that we slow down a bit, and better see what’s around us!

…as exquisite as my favourite forget me knots that you have in your picture. Lovely words and my body echoes yours…beginning to feel aches and pains as I garden now! BUT I am loving the feel of soil on my hands again and the smell of the earth and a reconnection after the long dark Winter! Yes…Amen…the simplicity of my Day. Love your words. Just about to go out and garden, prune and tidy for a client. 🙂 Take care 🙂

Roberta, I must not look daily at my reader and have missed your blog. (?!) Anyway, I really liked that you describe how special gardening is. I liked the blue flowers with a truly simple but clever pot in the ground! 🙂

Mother Hen! This is absolutely beautiful.
It’s T-Fox!! I have recently read my entire blog of my PCT adventure, and I just had to say that you had such a calming, motherly, loving impact on my hike. While I met so may people on the trail in person, I also value the connections I made online. I’m not sure how I missed your blog, but this is the first time I have checked out what it is that YOU blog about! Wow…you are too sweet. Let’s stay in touch. Hugs from T-Fox! xxx
