I recently paid a visit to this visitor’s center on Veteran’s Day. It was my first time there and I was quickly greeted with Oregonian style hospitality. We were in town for the parade and I had about an hour before the parade started. I decided to explore. The street sidewalks were filling up with chairs and people, so I ambled on my way, destination unknown at the time. This window display caught my eye and there I stayed long enough to chat with the gracious ladies that offered me a hot beverage. I was too excited to eat or drink anything at the time, because I wanted to take a few pictures, to capture the gorgeous carousel horse. This horse named Lightning and the fish will eventually be housed in a building that is being constructed. I definitely will go back at another time, so that I can look at the many brochures at my leisure. I highly recommend visiting this Albany, Oregon, visitors center, if you need any kind of information on what to do or where to go while in the area.
