We were needing to stretch our legs so we got off the 101 and decided to join several other people that were viewing Elk. We were very close to Klamath , California and it was a beautiful morning. 
While there we met Lindsey and Lester. A young and carefree looking couple that were hoping to catch a wave somewhere along the coast.They decided the best way to see the Elk was to hop on their car.
This is what we were all straining to see… I got one more shot of Lindsey before we departed.
At another destination in Oregon I got a better closer shot of an Elk..He was laying low and somewhat camouflaged.
And at this location it was good to see that these majestic animals are protected.
