Summer Special: Relearning How to Laugh

When did life get so serious?

Yesterday afternoon, I began to think about laughter. I realized that I have not had a good hearty dose of it lately. I laugh at myself often, but it is not one of those deep belly laughs, that might almost bring moisture to my eyes. As I pondered on this, I thought about the comedians of this generation. I admit, I am old school and that happens when you are born in the fifties. Maybe not for all.. Because of this thinking, I ran through a list of those that made me chuckle from past years.  Some would be considered corny, in this day and age. At this moment, I am thinking about Carol Burnett and her sidekick, Vicki Lawrence. I don’t find humor in much of what is promoted these days. Sigh…
