When this little girl was growing up, there was a family friend that called her, LOTTACHATTERWAGONTONGUE…
He would tease her about it when given the opportunity and it was all done in fun. I have not been one to talk a lot and I tend to gravitate towards listening.
Listening takes practice and I was not always good at it. A person can be quiet but not have the skill to listen. Everyday our world is loud. Decision making becomes hard due to other voices, clamor of noise and other influences. We may think we have all of the right answers to life’s problems right inside our brain. We are often persuaded by othersĀ opinions… but I find that when I get still and quiet and shut out the clamor, that is when the answers come. Where that gut feeling feels peaceful and either I see red, to stop, or green, to go and maybe yellow for caution. It is all really very simple but can be made complicated if you don’t stop, look and listen.
Here is that young lady, my daughter. And she is not a chatterbox after all..
