Taking a Risk

This morning I am thinking a lot about Risk Takers.. Do you know of any? As I ponder on the meaning of  risk  I think of mountain climbers, firemen, policemen, miners, servicemen/woman, astronauts, missionaries, and the list goes on. Are there any Risk Takers that you know of in your own community or circle of friends? To be a risk taker it opens one up to being rejected or ignored for being different, in many ways  and even for your preference of art, music and literature. One of my son’s replica of himself.

All of my children are creative in their own way and have their own unique style. These days I feel like an explorer. Like I am making new discoveries about myself in the form of photography. I really, really like what is shared by Otto at his blog. He talks about goals and dreams and developing your style.  It has encouraged me  on my path of  discovery..

Finding my style

Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore. Andre Gide

You have to risk going to far to discover just how far you can really go. T. S. Eliot

He who risks and fails can be forgiven. He who never risks and never fails is a failure in his whole being.

Necessity is the mother of taking chances. Mark Twain
