January 2017

We woke up this morning to a slight covering of snow. It is always a thrill for me to watch snow-falling.  I recently saw a picture of a frozen bubbles,so I prepared myself for the moment of hoping to capture a frozen bubble. It didn’t happen, but for that moment, I was like a kid, with snowflakes in my hair, blowing bubbles and trying to take pictures. The older I get, my gratitude for each day and each year increases. The simple things that I have taken for granted, have become so much more meaningful. I am often in awe of the grandeur of nature, in the kind face of a human, in the gentle tone of a caring individual, the miracle of an infant, and sweet endearing look from a furry friend. Unconditional love…  May we enter the New Year with Hope planted in our hearts and continued prayer for a better tomorrow.

May God In His Wisdom

And Infinite Love,

Look Down on You Always

From Heaven Above

May He Send You Good Fortune,

Contentment & Peace

And May All Your Blessings

Forever Increase…

Am I There Yet

DSCN5100Roto-tiller man is down and out of commission as far as doing anything strenuous with his arms. I am  left to my own devices. Last spring he worked the ground, back and forth, dug out rocks, cut out roots and did a number on berry vines. After all of that hard work we did not do anything else to the good earth. We had thoughts of sowing seed for grass and also purchasing railroad ties, but that was as far as it got.

DSCN5096I did manage to fill the wheelbarrow and plant this apple tree, but I really do not have a good laid out plan of attack. The cats love the wild and out of control look and the weeds don’t bug them at all.

DSC_0020For now I plant flowers that give me a quick fix of satisfaction and joy and remind me that there is Hope and I will eventually get to where I am going..

Sunflower Pandemoniun

DSCN8393I am changing things up here. With much enthusiasm I planted Sunflower seeds, and Sunflowers are what I got. Tall towering ones. I call this post Pandemonium.

The bees are feasting and loving life right now.

Majestic beauties, you have enriched my days..

It is a serious thing

just to be alive

on this fresh morning

in this broken world..

High Places

Archives II1the wind beneath my wings

carries me high

above earth’s troubles

the things, that make me cry..

off to high places

where i can look and see

people who are broken

just like you and me…

life is not easy

sometimes it’s tough

feeling like we muddle

through all of the stuff..

but when our hearts are tender

that’s when we can be strong

a time to embrace life

with the will to go on…
