Are We Having Fun Yet?

It’s that time of year for many across the US to think about  summer activities. Children are out of school and parents are planning for summer vacation. Barbecues are getting a workout and if you walk around your neighborhood you just might get a whiff of meat or veggies grilling…Rv’s or trailers are getting primed for a road trip or if you are like us we will be looking for our tent and thinking it’s a good time to shake it out and make sure it’s still intact. We had a yard sale recently and my husband had a collection of Coleman stoves for sale, along with lanterns.

   Every one has a different idea of what fun is..

We recently gave a ride to this couple who were from New Jersey. They needed a ride to a Post Office. They are hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. The young ladies mother mailed a package to the wrong Post Office and so it was helpful for them to ride for five miles instead of walk it. They have a long road ahead of them.

Tomorrow some father’s will hit the open road with the desire to feel the wind on their face’s and leave all stress behind. It’s my hope that all dads have a time to regroup and be refreshed from their usual routine and have a little fun…
