Unmovable

Bully- a blustering, quarrelsome, overbearing person who browbeat smaller or weaker people. 
I can still remember being chased around the kindergarten play-ground by one of my classmates. I don’t remember a name but I remember he was a big kid and he scared me. He must have thought it was fun to chase me and make me cry. I don’t know who came up with “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”. It all hurts! Some people have no sensitivity as to what effect hurtful words spoken can do to a person. Especially if they repeatedly use the same wording over and over again. We have an enemy out there. He can try to disguise himself as an angel of light, he will work through people and use them to come against us. 
Be sober, be vigilant,because your adversary, the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8  In Ephesians 6: 10 It talks about putting on the armor of God so that we can resist the devil, because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness,against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. We are a target and without the armor the arrows(mean words) (mean people) will penetrate your heart. We need to be alert and not let our guard down. God gives us the tools and instructs us about walking in the Spirit. Bullies need our prayers but above all need God’s help and  to come to know of His love….

I wrote the above in 2010 at another blog. It so relates to our experience recently regarding our bees. I have learned that bullying can be very subtle. Often you can be minding your own business, but there is intention by someone to try to remove your presence or just make life difficult. Yesterday we did some exploring by the river and I noticed a leaf on a rock. We sat for quite a while and that leaf did not move. I was surprised because I was sure that the pressure of the water would force it to move. As I watched it, what came to me, is that I need to cling even tighter to the Rock that is Higher than I and that I will be like the leaf, unmovable…

Customer service is best with a smile

Most days it’s easy..

But once n’ a while

What I see and hear..

Makes me wince with pain

For it’s very clear..

Who’s behavior is atrocious

And I want to protect..The recipient ..

Of hot angry words

That  cower  under the attack..

For the lack of power

To take back their life..

When it was given away

To the bully that controls..

And wants to get away

With meanness towards others..

Whom think they have no say…

Every so often I observe human nature at it’s worst…and my heart responds to what concerns me in life. My words just express what is on my heart..
