Wordless Wednesday

sow kindness
A gentle man I met in 2011. He sparked something in my heart and for that reason I have posted his picture a few times over. In life we often have brief encounters with people, and it is just for a moment that we meet. Then, there are friendships formed but dissolve over the years. There was a special bond, but life changes, we move on, but the warm memories stay in our hearts and are not forgotten.

has been turned
upside down
enthusiasm
for running
outside
has waned
no longer eager
to explore,
for four dogs
have moved
in next door
although confined
daily
to a small space
in their world
they wait
hours
to be free
to roam
in their
backyard
which is their home
and she our cat
seems to care
that her own
freedom
is not there
so she looks
forlorn to me
her world turned
upside down
is what she sees.
Linking with Texture Tuesday
I did not have the understanding about this piano until I spoke to the young man playing and singing. Please read here about the pianos that were dispersed throughout the City of Corvallis for a Music Festival. As I observed this young father, he was very relaxed as he played.
The theme for Texture Tuesday is Free and Easy. For many of us summer days are fleeting and soon children will be starting school. Vacation time is over and its time to get back to reading, writing and arithmetic.
My contribution for the challenge of Abandoned. My photos are from quirky Madrid, New Mexico.
