So Little Time

The same day we rode the Metrolink to the San Clemente pier, we also visited the town of San Juan Capistrano.  I had never been to Mission San Juan Capistrano. It was the seventh one built out of twenty-one in California and founded in 1776. Because there was only one train to catch to get back home, there was pressure to take in as much as I could in a short amount of time. It is definitely a place I’d like to revisit and be able to take my time.

Old red brick, and anything rustic always catch my eye..

It was somewhat of a challenge to not have people in the pictures. Later we found out that two weddings had taken place at the mission. It offers a lovely setting for them..

Mosaic Monday

I tend to get a late start for posting Mosaic Monday. Maybe someday when I am a woman of leisure I will be prompt. Until then I squeeze it in before I go to work.  I am posting photo’s from February . I believe I shared them at another blog I had at the time. I had not been to this Mission since I was a child. I am linking with Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. There are 21 Missions in California I have been to only about four of them. I love the rustic character of them. The adobe, the red tile, the wood and the brass hardware. I hope you enjoy my mosaic tour of  San Gabriel Mission. This link will offer some information about the Missions and also a photo gallery of some of them. California Missions
