Got Heart

please don’t fault me if i stutter, or don’t remember my lines,

i am at a time in life, when all is not so fine.

making fun of others does not cost a dime,

but it sets a trend for some humans to embrace,

to influence the minds of others,

instead, i ask for compassion and some grace.

so, if you will be patient and let God do his work,

and bid your time on earth, contributing thoughtful care,

as for me, i ask that you will say a simple prayer..

The above was written out of concern for the human race. We have lost sensitivity and lack of respect in so many ways. It should not matter that we don’t agree with others. It doesn’t mean we should name call or harm people. And my age is a contributing factor. I value life and think about how, our choices have consequences. Besides sowing kindness feels good.

The Letter

i got a letter the other day

i didn’t read it until today

sometimes i have to be

at the right place in my mind

to receive the words from

my friend so kind..

this one did it for me today

her words of kindness

had much to say..

from one whom

has had a hard life

but you wouldn’t know..

it brought tears to my eyes

because it was heaven sent.

positivity from my friend so kind

when i know in fact her world is not..

much to be glum about

but she is not.

reminding me to love

and be thankful for those that do..

to look for the good and for animals too

that are in our care on planet earth..

so a reminder to me

to not murmur nor complain..

be a light in this world

that seems as though

it is losing it’s glimmer

thank you friend for coming along

and sending me a lovely letter..

a rogue tongue

not so fun..

being mean

what’s going on?

in you brain

and your heart

we are not all

the same..

we do all have

a beating heart

blood that runs

through our veins..

yours is not more precious

than mine

or any others..

as God is our maker

we were created by

his design..

and it was his plan

for all of us

to be kind..

what’s the matter?

prince of the air

got your tongue?

he’s having a heyday

having fun..

using your mouth

for evil

 to incite strife

nothing good and nothing right..

Prince of Peace

sadly looks on

where did the children

of God go wrong?

no longer discerning

between darkness and light

only puffed up

and following the crowd..

who think being louder

is ok

to prove their point

in what really is unsound..

And you He made alive, who were dead in trepasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience. among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, just as the others. As a child of God we are in the world but not of it. That means we are different. To be different. Not mean. not contentious, not vulgar, nor crude. We don’t follow the crowd of disobedience but on the path of right standing..
