Grandma Me

For many years, I have had an interest in pen paling. It began with a magazine, that had a add for those that wanted a pen pal. I think one of my earlier ones was a woman from Coos Bay, Oregon. From there, one was a young lady from Montana. It was a special time. At another time while working with native American youth, I was drawn to an organization, where one could donate or become a sponsor to those that lived on a reservation. I really enjoyed that time too. I came up with an idea to list questions about the person. Things such as favorite colors, foods, interests, etc. It gave me ideas and told me a little about them. So, as you view these simple crafts, it will tell you something about me. This year has been wacky and weird, and becoming more so. I must say that for me, it has been a year of learning and more growth, in many ways. I have definitely been quieter. Not hard for me as I tend to be on the quiet side anyway, but this has been a different kind of quiet. I have also become familiar with areas of my life, or let me say, my attitude, that has needed adjusting. I am thankful for the help I receive from on high. I am much more aware of the words that come from my mouth, and then I am quickly reminded that those words were not necessary. That’s conviction. There are many angry voices. My heart tells me to not be moved by what I hear, but to heed the voice of wisdom.
