The same day we rode the Metrolink to the San Clemente pier, we also visited the town of San Juan Capistrano. I had never been to Mission San Juan Capistrano. It was the seventh one built out of twenty-one in California and founded in 1776. Because there was only one train to catch to get back home, there was pressure to take in as much as I could in a short amount of time. It is definitely a place I’d like to revisit and be able to take my time.
Old red brick, and anything rustic always catch my eye..
It was somewhat of a challenge to not have people in the pictures. Later we found out that two weddings had taken place at the mission. It offers a lovely setting for them..
A lovely place. We last visited when I was about 16.
