Fifties School Days
It’s that time of year, when I am thinking about and praying for children that are starting their school year. My, how things have changed. Did we not look like wholesome kids..lol! Well, I am sure there were some little rascals in that class.
I loved the dresses during that time. Jump rope, trading cards, jacks, foursquare and monkey bars were my recess favorites, along with hopscotch. Tuna sandwiches rocked, especially if accompanied with Fritos. Oh such memories..
Father, I pray for blessing upon all children. I pray for safekeeping, and teacher’s that inspire and that are committed to seeing that each child flourish and have a successful school year. Father, just as your eye is on the sparrow, you know each child by name. You know the number of strands of hair on each head. Thank you, that you are a loving and caring God and wanting good for all. In Jesus name I pray.. Amen!
What’s New in Brownsville
Today we went to one of our favorite coffee shop’s for lunch. It is located in the town of Brownsville, Or. I was pleased to discover a charming little store next door, that has recently opened. The proprietor, Dana, gave me permission to take photos and of course I was thrilled.
Not 2 Shabbee is my kind of place.. A little mixture of this and that, with a lot of vintage charm and beautiful handmade items. Come along with me on this tour. It will only take a few minutes.
And just one more..
As you can see, Dana has a flair for decorating. It is so well put together. I sure hope you enjoyed the brief visit. I look forward to going back, when we are in the area. Thank you, Dana, for allowing me to browse with my camera. I wish you the best!
Friends in High Places
in the simple life I live, some days that is
i explore and look around
last week they caught my eye
and this is what i found..
small enough
to nestle in a flower
and sit contently for hours
maybe it was peering eyes of the intruder
that gave reason for hesitation
to leave it’s place of safety
on the high place
of a hollyhock plant…

If you find yourself in the doldrums of life, I have a quick remedy. I have not been the same, since I came across Albert on Wheels. If you take a peek, I am sure Albert and his friends will capture your heart as well. Sometimes life’s challenges want to get the best of us, but A joyful heart is good medicine, and a broken spirit dries up bones. Proverbs 17:22. For you advocates, of four legged furry friends, take time to meet Albert. Despite, Albert’s challenges, he certainly, is not letting his limitations hold him back. Viewing his cuteness and enthusiasm, has given me a new perspective, on how I face my own challenges. Way to go Albie…
